Chandrababu Naidu formally launched India's first indigenous quantum computer testing facility, the Amaravati Quantum Reference Facility (AQRF). This initiative includes two state-of-the-art quantum computing testbeds, Amaravati 1S at SRM University, Amaravati, and Amaravati 1Q at Medha Towers in Gannavaram. These facilities, developed with over 80% indigenous components by startups Qubitech and Qbit Force, position India===Andhra Pradesh as the first Indian state to establish a dedicated quantum test and certification ecosystem. The AQRF aims to make Amaravati an international hub for quantum computing, enabling India to design, test, certify, and manufacture quantum systems for global use. The project has received technical support from premier institutions like the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Indian Institute of Science, and India===Defence Research and Development Organisation, with strategic spillovers into defense, healthcare, and semiconductor manufacturing. The Amaravati Quantum Valley will also host an IBM 133-qubit Quantum computer and has engaged over 80 industry and academic partnerships.
