PSA Singapore deploys Motorola Solutions TETRA at Tuas Mega Port

PSA International is implementing Motorola Solutions' TETRA digital radio technology at its Tuas Mega Port in Singapore. This strategic deployment aims to enhance safety and operational coordination across the port's expanding and increasingly automated operations. The Tuas Mega Port is a multi-decade infrastructure project designed to consolidate all of Singapore's existing container terminals into a single, massive, and highly automated hub. When fully completed in the 2040s, it is expected to handle up to 65 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) annually, becoming the world's largest fully automated container terminal. The communication system supports over 4,000 users and handles an average of 540,000 daily voice calls, crucial for 24/7 operations across vessel, yard, and landside coordination as container volumes and automation levels increase. This investment underscores Singapore's commitment to strengthening its competitiveness and resilience in global supply chains.
