The Nigeria===Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Capital Territory Command, rescued a 15-year-old girl from an alleged human trafficking attempt in Kwali Area Council of Abuja. The suspect, Anyanwu Daniel, 46, was arrested after holding the minor for two weeks without consent, during which she was allegedly subjected to sexual molestation. Preliminary investigations revealed Anyanwu Daniel's plan to traffic the girl to Libya for child labor. The rescue operation followed a missing person report filed by the victim's mother.
