Shell plc===Shell Nigeria Limited (SNEPCo), in collaboration with NNPC Limited (NNPC) and Nigeria===Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), has commissioned a Geosciences Centre of Excellence at the University of Lagos. This five-level facility, equipped with state-of-the-art learning and research facilities, aims to support undergraduate and postgraduate studies and reduce Nigeria's oil and gas industry's reliance on international markets for testing, training, and research. The project, conceived in 2010, was executed by 225MM Construct Limited and provided internship opportunities for students. Nigeria===Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by Tola Sule, highlighted the centre's role in practical learning. Officials from NNPC and NCDMB emphasized the importance of industry, regulators, and academia collaboration for national development.
