FGN Power Company (FGNPC) has intensified its engagements with the Nigeria===Ebonyi State and Nigeria===Enugu State Governments to accelerate Phase 1 of the Presidential Power Initiative (PPI). Led by Chief Commercial Officer Babatunde Daramola-Oniru, the delegation met with state officials to secure local buy-in and ensure seamless execution of vital power infrastructure projects. These projects, including the Ugwaji-Okposi 330kV double-circuit transmission line in Nigeria===Ebonyi State, aim to unlock stranded capacity, strengthen grid reliability, and boost power supply. Both states have pledged full support, recognizing the projects' importance for economic development and urban renewal. FGNPC, in partnership with Siemens Energy and EPC contractors like China Machinery Engineering Corporation and Elsewedy Electric, is mandated to increase Nigeria's grid capacity by an additional 4,000MW over the next three years.
