The state of India — Karnataka, India, has launched the country's first state-led Centre of Excellence for Space Technology (CoE SpaceTech Foundation) in Bengaluru. Priyank Kharge, Minister for Electronics, IT/BT, and Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, inaugurated the center, emphasizing its role in advancing research, fostering economic growth, and creating high-quality jobs. The CoE SpaceTech Foundation will focus on advanced research, industry-aligned training, startup incubation, and cross-sector applications. It has also signed strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with several partners, including Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Helogen Corporation, Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises, Dassault Systèmes, and Idea Baaz, to support its ecosystem and objectives.
