India hosted a week-long BIMSTEC Youth Leadership Exchange Programme from April 25 to 30, bringing together over 70 young leaders from the seven member countries of the BIMSTEC. The India — Ministry of External Affairs organized the program in association with Art of Living in Bangalore and Bhubaneswar. This initiative implements Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement at the 6th BIMSTEC Summit to strengthen youth exchanges. The program focused on leadership development, regional issues, and co-creating solutions, aiming to nurture future-ready regional leaders. This event complements broader efforts to deepen intra-BIMSTEC trade and investment, including the launch of a new chapter of India's leadership of the BIMSTEC Business Council by ASSOCHAM, focusing on Trade Facilitation, Multi-modal Connectivity, and MSME Cooperation.
