UBA Debunks Elumelu Divorce Claims

United Bank for Africa has publicly refuted false and malicious social media reports alleging that its Group Chairman, Tony Elumelu, has divorced his wife. The bank described these claims as entirely fabricated and designed to harm the reputation of both Tony Elumelu and the institution. Following a report to law enforcement authorities, three individuals, Kingsley Akunemeihe, Chigozie Success Ihebom, and John Suruochi Nwanorue, have been arrested in connection with the creation and dissemination of these falsehoods. Investigations are ongoing, with the possibility of further arrests and prosecutions. United Bank for Africa has also issued a formal warning to all individuals and platforms involved in spreading the content, demanding its immediate removal and preservation of all related records, threatening legal action for non-compliance. The bank is resolute in pursuing both civil and criminal remedies to hold all responsible parties accountable.
