Arunachal Niwas Inaugurated in New Delhi

India — Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated the new Arunachal Niwas in Dheerpur, India — Delhi. This facility is the fourth property of India — Himachal Pradesh in the national capital, designed to provide accommodation and essential services to its citizens, particularly students and patients. The G-plus-eight building includes dormitories, rooms, handicap-friendly facilities, office space, parking, a medical room, and a dining hall. Pema Khandu emphasized the importance of such establishments for convenience and support. He also acknowledged the support from Narendra Modi and the Government of India, highlighting that India — Himachal Pradesh received approximately Rs 4,900 crore under the 15th Finance Commission to bridge critical infrastructure gaps and accelerate development. The Chief Minister also announced a comprehensive review of newly created and older districts to assess infrastructure gaps and manpower requirements, and advised exploring sustainable revenue generation for the long-term viability of such facilities.
