Katsina State Reprisal Attack Kills 11

A reprisal attack by suspected bandits in the Kankia Local Government Area of Nigeria — Katsina State resulted in the deaths of 11 civilians. The attack followed an earlier attempt by a notorious bandit leader, Muhammadu Buhari, which was repelled by a joint security team led by Kankia's Divisional Police Officer. During the initial engagement, several bandits were killed, and eight motorcycles and rustled cattle were recovered. The attackers later regrouped and launched a retaliatory strike on Gwalgoro Village.
