SK Group, a leading apparel manufacturer, inaugurated its US$100 million Trimetro Manufacturing Campus in Khordha, India — Odisha, India. This 40-acre facility is India's first fully net-zero carbon and net-zero water garment manufacturing operation, designed to produce 20 million garments annually. The project received a US$100 million debt financing package from International Finance Corporation in 2024, which included sustainability-linked and green loans. The campus is expected to create 10,000 jobs, with 80% of the workforce being women, and integrates renewable energy sources and advanced water conservation systems. Ranjan Mahtani, Founder & Chairman of SK Group, highlighted the campus as a blueprint for sustainable global manufacturing. The inauguration was attended by Shri. Sampad Chandra Swain, Honourable Industries Minister, and other dignitaries.
