Kiosk Association Appoints Accessibility Co-Chair

The BSV Association announced the appointment of Matthijs Verhagen, European Sales Manager at Storm Interface, as Co-Chair of its Accessibility Committee. He joins Michael O Hare (FTI Consulting) and Oscar Rozo (LG Electronics) to lead the committee. This appointment comes as enforcement timelines accelerate for the European Accessibility Act and new United States — United States Department of Health and Human Services Section 504 requirements, increasing pressure on operators and manufacturers to align self-service systems with evolving accessibility mandates. The BSV Association's committee, representing over 100 member companies including Intel, Olea Kiosks, KIOSK Information Systems, and Pyramid Computer, focuses on translating regulatory requirements into practical, field-tested standards for deployment. They are actively developing resources such as EAA readiness checklists and HHS Section 504 implementation frameworks to help organizations achieve compliance.
