Mary Tracy Morrison, owner and director of The Delta Institute for the Developing Brain and the Engage program in Jonesboro, Arkansas, was sentenced to 30 days in jail, 120 days of house arrest, and nine years of probation. She pleaded guilty to one count of permitting child abuse and four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Prosecutors identified her as the 'ringleader' of a child fight club. Video evidence obtained by the United States — Utah County, Utah showed Mary Tracy Morrison instructing students to assault another child, verbally berating the victim, and later giving a high-five to an aggressor. Three other school employees, Michael Bean, Kristen Bell, and Kathrine Lipscomb, were also arrested for their involvement, having witnessed the abuse without intervening. Mary Tracy Morrison is now prohibited from working with children and must surrender her occupational therapy license.
