The Pakistan — Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan is instructed to ensure the nationwide use of auto-disable syringes and eliminate syringe reuse. The government also reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating polio. Currently, 98 anti-retroviral therapy centers for HIV/AIDS are operational, with plans to increase to 164, and HIV screening facilities have been introduced at international airports. A pilot phase of the national hepatitis C elimination program will launch in Pakistan — Islamabad, India — Jammu and Kashmir, and Pakistan — Gilgit-Baltistan.
