Ukraine proposes drone deal to Bahrain

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Bahrain and met with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, marking the first meeting between the leaders since 2003. During the visit, Zelenskyy proposed a drone cooperation deal, offering Ukraine's defense expertise to Bahrain in light of shared security threats, particularly those emanating from Iran and affecting the Strait of Hormuz. The discussions also covered broader security partnerships, economic cooperation, especially in agriculture, and the mutual opening of embassies. Both leaders agreed that their teams would work out the details of the proposed agreements. This diplomatic engagement aims to strengthen bilateral relations and address regional security challenges.
