The IIT Madras Global Research Foundation has launched its first center in the United States, located in Menlo Park, California. This center, enabled through a partnership with CA Startups, serves as a strategic anchor for IIT Madras Global's US operations and aims to accelerate Indian deep-tech ventures into global markets while attracting global innovation into India. The total planned investment for the center is USD 7.5 million, with a greenfield investment of USD 4.5 million from IIT Madras Global. The center will focus on advancing deep-tech research, commercialization, startup incubation, and global market access. IIT Madras Global also plans to establish a second center on the US East Coast. Indian Ambassador to the United States Vinay Mohan Kwatra met with a delegation of IIT Madras-incubated deep-tech startups, including Atri AI, Zerowatt, Satori XR, Greenvironment, and ePlaneCompany, expressing optimism about future India-United States innovation collaboration.
