A new report by NASSCOM and Zinnov highlights the significant growth and evolution of India's Global Capability Centre (GCC) ecosystem. The report projects the GCC market revenue in India to reach USD 98.4 billion by FY26E. India now hosts 2117 GCCs, a 32% growth since FY21, employing 2.36 million professionals. A key driver is the deep integration of artificial intelligence, with nearly half of GCCs established since 2021 focusing on AI from inception. Over 1,200 GCCs in India embed AI/ML capabilities, supported by 250,000 AI professionals. Leaders like Rajesh Nambiar of NASSCOM and Ezhilarasan Natarajan of Zinnov emphasize the shift of GCCs from traditional delivery engines to strategic nerve centers, taking ownership of global products and platforms and driving enterprise-wide transformation.
