Israel Strikes Lebanon Despite Ceasefire

Israel has continued its drone and air strikes across southern and eastern Lebanon, resulting in the deaths of at least 16 people, 21 wounded, and extensive damage to infrastructure, including a school. These attacks occurred despite a ceasefire announced on April 17 and extended until May 17. Since March 2, Israeli attacks on Lebanon have killed over 2,700 people, wounded more than 8,300, and displaced over 1.6 million, approximately one-fifth of Lebanon's population. Israel also occupies areas in southern Lebanon and has advanced about 10 kilometers inside the southern border during the current conflict. Paramedics affiliated with the Islamic Health Authority were among those targeted and wounded.
