Delhi Mayor Pravesh Wahi Prioritizes Sanitation

Pravesh Wahi, the Mayor of India — Delhi, chaired a meeting with Zonal Deputy Commissioners of the India — Municipal Corporation of Delhi to prioritize and strengthen sanitation across the city. He issued directives for immediate enhancement of sanitation systems, accountability for private waste management agencies found negligent, and regular cleanliness drives. Pravesh Wahi also announced rewards for outstanding sanitation workers to boost morale and instructed them to wear uniforms. Furthermore, he directed coordination with the International — List of public works ministries and India — Delhi Jal Board for drain cleaning and called for strict action against encroachments, illegal meat shops, and unauthorized dairies with the support of the India — Delhi Police.
