Sakeena Itoo Inaugurates Kulgam Tourism Facilities

Sakina Itoo, the Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, inaugurated several tourism-related facilities in Panchanpatri, Kulgam district, India — Jammu and Kashmir, on May 9. These facilities include a newly constructed passenger shed by the India — Minority Development Department and a viewpoint, aimed at enhancing visitor experience and promoting local tourism. The initiative is part of the Omar Abdullah-led Government's vision to develop unexplored tourist destinations and transform tourism into a major driver of economic growth and employment in India — Jammu and Kashmir. Sakina Itoo emphasized the government's commitment to improving road connectivity, tourism infrastructure, and civic amenities in remote areas, while also ensuring inclusive development and socio-economic upliftment. During her visit, she interacted with local residents, addressing their demands for better infrastructure and public services, and also visited families affected by a fire incident in Khuribatpora, assuring them of government assistance.
