Celonis acquires Ikigai Labs, launches Context Model

Celonis, a leader in Process Intelligence, launched its Celonis Context Model (CCM) and announced a definitive agreement to acquire Ikigai Labs, an AI-powered Decision Intelligence company. The CCM aims to solve the challenge of Enterprise AI's operational blind spots by providing a real-time digital twin of operations, translating business processes into a language AI understands. The acquisition of Ikigai Labs will integrate its planning, simulation, and forecasting capabilities into the CCM, enabling organizations to model future scenarios and prevent process breakdowns. This strategic move positions Celonis to define a new 'context layer' in enterprise technology, grounding AI in real operational data. Key figures like Carsten Thoma of Celonis and Devavrat Shah of Ikigai Labs highlighted the importance of this integration for trusted AI deployment. The deal also involves Massachusetts Institute of Technology becoming a shareholder in Celonis and Celonis gaining exclusive rights to MIT-owned patents.
