Singapore Dementia Awareness Survey Results

The 2026 Remember.For.Me. survey, led by Rosie Ching of Singapore Management University in partnership with Dementia Singapore, revealed that while Singaporeans have increased awareness of dementia, stigma persists, and many are unsure where to seek help. The study, which surveyed 10,827 respondents, is the third national survey since 2019 and highlights a critical disconnect between awareness and preparedness. Despite improved knowledge, the perception of dementia's personal relevance remains low, and inclusion for persons living with dementia has not significantly improved. As Singapore approaches super-aged society status with projected dementia cases exceeding 150,000 by 2030, the findings underscore the urgent need to translate awareness into action, improve support structures, and reduce stigma.
