The announcement of Molecular Partners' progress in its Phase 1/2a study for MP0712, a targeted alpha radiotherapy for small cell lung cancer, is positive for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Positive clinical data, expected in 2026, could significantly boost the stock price of Molecular Partners and potentially other companies in the radiopharmaceutical space.
Molecular Partners AG announced it will hold trial-in-progress poster presentations on its lead targeted alpha radiotherapy candidate, MP0712, at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) Annual Meeting. MP0712, co-developed with Orano, is a 212Pb-based Radio-DARPin Therapy targeting DLL3 for small cell lung cancer and other neuroendocrine cancers. The US multicenter Phase 1/2a study (NCT07278479) is actively recruiting patients, with dosing ongoing in the first cohort. Molecular Partners expects to share initial clinical data from this study in 2026. Earlier data, generated with MP0712 carrying a diagnostic isotope as part of a Named Patient Access Program in South Africa, showed specific uptake in tumor lesions, supporting the clinical development plans.
