The expansion of KuCoin Web3 Wallet's perpetual trading offerings through HIP-3 integration is expected to increase user engagement and trading volume in the cryptocurrency and traditional finance derivatives markets. This could positively impact KuCoin's market position and potentially lead to increased adoption of the Hyperliquid ecosystem.
KuCoin Web3 Wallet announced its expansion into Crypto + TradFi perpetual markets by integrating Hyperliquid Improvement Proposal 3 (HIP-3). This upgrade allows users to access a wider range of perpetual trading opportunities, including crypto assets, equities, commodities, indices, and foreign exchange-linked markets, all within a single self-custody wallet. The integration builds on KuCoin Web3 Wallet's January launch of native in-wallet Perps, aiming to streamline the derivatives experience while maintaining user control over assets. Gao Meng, Lead of KuCoin Web3 Wallet Operation, emphasized that this integration brings a more open market expansion model directly into the wallet's native Perps experience. The HIP-3 integration will be carried out via the XYZ Protocol, chosen for its established liquidity and execution quality.
