China-Laos Deepen Bilateral Cooperation

The leaders agreed to build an all-weather 'China-Laos community with a shared future in the new era' and upgrade bilateral ties. Xi Jinping>>> outlined a four-point plan focusing on the socialist path, mutually beneficial cooperation, traditional friendship, and foreign policy coordination. Key areas of cooperation include deepening law enforcement and security, upgrading the China-Laos Economic Corridor, accelerating railway connectivity among China>>>, Laos>>>, and Thailand>>>, and boosting collaboration in traditional sectors like agriculture and electricity, as well as emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and the digital economy. China>>> also pledged continued assistance to Laos>>> and expressed appreciation for Laos>>>'s adherence to the one-China principle and support for global initiatives. The visit also celebrated the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the Year of China-Laos Friendship in 2026.
