The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has strongly refuted allegations linking its recent nationwide prayer gathering to the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) or its General Overseer, Pastor_Enoch Adeboye. Bishop_David Bakare, the National Secretary of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, stated that the program was conceived, approved, coordinated, and executed solely under the authority of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria. He clarified that the Redeemed Christian Church of God participated as a member church, complying with the directives of the Fellowship. The prayer program, which culminated on Pentecost Sunday, was organized to address socio-economic and security challenges in Nigeria. An initial proposal for public processions was suspended due to security concerns. The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria also condemned personal attacks and misinformation directed at Christian leaders and urged Nigerians to reject falsehoods for national unity.
