Delhi Inducts 2,800 Electric Buses

The India — Delhi>>> government is set to induct 2,800 new air-conditioned low-floor electric buses under the Centre's PM E-DRIVE Scheme>>>. This fleet, comprising 1,400 nine-metre and 1,400 twelve-metre buses, aims to significantly enhance public transport accessibility, especially in underserved areas, and improve last-mile connectivity across the national capital. The move is part of a larger strategy to expand India — Delhi>>>'s overall bus fleet to nearly 14,000 by 2028-29, with a target of 7,500 electric buses by the end of 2026.
