Adani Enterprises — Adani Solar, the solar manufacturing arm of Adani New Industries Limited, has achieved the sixth position in Wood Mackenzie's Global Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Module Manufacturer Rankings 2026, making it the highest-ranked Indian company. This marks an improvement from its eighth position in the previous ranking and solidifies its place as the only Indian manufacturer in the global top 10. Wood Mackenzie assigned Adani Enterprises — Adani Solar a 'Grade A' classification, recognizing its strengths across manufacturing, technology, financial health, supply chain resilience, and operational metrics. This achievement comes as India actively seeks to expand its domestic solar manufacturing capacity to over 170 GW by 2026 and reduce dependence on imports. Adani Enterprises — Adani Solar is also expanding its integrated manufacturing facility in Mundra, Gujarat, to 10 GW of annual capacity. The report also noted that Chinese manufacturers, including LONGi, JinkoSolar Holding, JA Solar Holdings, and Trina Solar, continue to dominate the top spots. India has emerged as one of the fastest-growing solar markets, surpassing the United States in annual solar capacity additions in 2025 and reaching over 155 GW of installed solar capacity.
