Union_Cabinet approves Ahmedabad_Metro_Rail_Project Phase 2A

This 6.032-kilometre corridor, costing Rs 2,169.04 crore, will add five stations, including four elevated and one underground, connecting Koteshwar Road to the Ahmedabad Airport. The expansion will extend the India — Ahmedabad>>>-India — Gandhinagar>>> metro network to 77.63 kilometres, significantly enhancing public transportation, reducing traffic congestion, and improving road safety. The project is also expected to generate around 2,000 jobs during construction and 500 for operation and maintenance, stimulating economic activity, promoting tourism, and supporting future urban development, including infrastructure for events like the World Police and Fire Games>>> and Commonwealth Games>>>.
