Xiaomi held third place in the European smartphone market with a 16% share, despite a 1% decline in shipments to 21.8 million units. Its performance was largely driven by its budget-friendly Redmi series and expansion of its 'new retail strategy' in Europe.

Xiaomi slipped to sixth place in the Chinese smartphone market, experiencing a significant plunge of 35% in shipments. This decline is attributed to a high base effect from aggressive price cuts and government subsidies in the previous year.

Xiaomi completed the top five tablet vendors, shipping 2.8 million units, reflecting a 10.1% year-on-year increase in Q4 2025, with full-year shipments growing 25% compared to 2024.

Xiaomi's shares have retreated or crashed, contributing to the negative trend in technology stocks.

Xiaomi, a Chinese smartphone brand, is being encouraged by the Indian government to use India as an export base rather than primarily manufacturing for the domestic market, aligning with the new PLI scheme's export focus.
