Nscale, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Caterpillar AI Campus

Nscale has announced a significant expansion in AI compute capacity through a collaboration with Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Caterpillar. Nscale acquired American Intelligence & Power Corporation, including the Monarch Compute Campus in Mason County, United States===West Virginia, which features the United States' first state-certified AI microgrid with a power runway scalable to over eight gigawatts. Nscale signed a letter of intent with Microsoft to provide 1.35 gigawatts of AI compute capacity, deploying NVIDIA's next-generation Vera Rubin GPUs. Caterpillar will supply natural gas generator sets to achieve two gigawatts of power generation by early 2028. This initiative aims to establish one of the world's largest dedicated AI compute installations, addressing the growing demand for AI data center capacity.
