Safaricom has announced a significant upgrade to its Home Fibre service, increasing internet speeds by up to 2.5 times across all packages without additional cost to customers. Entry-level plans now offer 15 Mbps, mid-tier plans 35 Mbps and 80 Mbps, and premium packages up to 400 Mbps. Peter Ndegwa, CEO of Safaricom, stated that this enhancement aims to provide greater value to customers, strengthen Safaricom's market leadership, and support the growing demand for high-speed internet in Kenya. The company's fibre network currently covers over 800,000 homes in Kenya.
