Safaricom launched Ziidi Trader, a new service integrated into its Safaricom===M-Pesa app, allowing users to buy and sell stocks on the Nairobi Stock Exchange. Safaricom won the Best Fintech and Digital Commerce Innovation Award for its Ziidi Money Market Fund, enhancing its reputation as a leading technology company in Africa. This recognition highlights its successful expansion of financial inclusion through mobile technology, particularly with the M-PESA ecosystem.

Safaricom will lose Sitoyo Lopokoiyit, who served as Managing Director of Safaricom===M-Pesa Africa and Chief Financial Services Officer, to Absa Group. Lopokoiyit's departure marks the end of a 15-year tenure during which he significantly contributed to Safaricom===M-Pesa's growth and innovation.

Safaricom and Huawei jointly won a GLOMO Award for the Ziidi Wealth Platform, a Money Market Fund launched in Kenya. This platform significantly improves financial inclusion for middle- to low-income customers.

Safaricom, through its subsidiary Safaricom===M-PESA Ethiopia, is expanding its role beyond money transfer into digital services. The partnership with Gebeya Inc. builds on Safaricom's existing engagement in Ethiopia through the Safaricom Talent Cloud.
