Eni

Eni is a key player in this joint venture, contributing its Ecofining technology and aiming to convert loss-making chemical assets into sustainable businesses. This project supports Eni's goal of achieving 5 million tonnes per year of biorefining capacity by 2030, enhancing its position in the low-carbon fuels market.

Eni has successfully shipped the first liquefied natural gas cargo from Phase 2 of the Congo LNG project, marking the start of commercial production from the Nguya floating LNG facility. This achievement is a significant step in Eni's strategy to expand its global LNG portfolio to 20 million tonnes per annum by 2030. Eni has operated in the Republic of the Congo since 1968 and is the country's leading producer of associated and non-associated gas.

Eni has made a significant gas and condensate discovery in Block CI-501 offshore Côte d'Ivoire, named Calao South. This discovery, estimated to contain up to 5 Tcf of gas and 450 MMbbl of condensate, is the second-largest in Côte d'Ivoire after the Baleine field, further solidifying Eni's position in the region. Eni operates Block CI-501 with a 90% interest and is also active in other exploration blocks in Côte d'Ivoire.

Eni has made two significant gas discoveries in Libya, Bahr Essalam South 2 and Bahr Essalam South 3, which are estimated to contain over 1 Tcf of gas. This discovery enhances Eni's production capacity and strengthens its position as a leading international operator in Libya, with plans for rapid development and export to Italy.

Eni has taken Final Investment Decisions for the Gendalo and Gandang gas project (South Hub) and for the Geng North and Gehem fields (North Hub) in Indonesia. This confirms their fast pace of development in deep water gas projects offshore East Kalimantan, enhancing their gas supply and maximizing synergies with existing infrastructure. The projects are expected to contribute to Eni's ongoing business combination with Petronas.
