GAIL (India), a leading gas marketing company, was informed by Petronet LNG about reduced supplies and subsequently notified its customers of gas supply cuts ranging from 10% to 30%. GAIL (India) is also preparing to issue spot tenders.

GAIL (India) has been tasked with managing the supplies of natural gas to implement the revised priority order, giving it a central role in ensuring the equitable distribution of gas across India's priority sectors. This responsibility highlights its critical function in India's energy infrastructure.

GAIL (India) has been informed by Petronet LNG about the supply halt from Qatar and has cut supplies to industries. It is now looking to the spot market to meet the shortfall, facing higher prices.
